Generally speaking, connective tissue is a gelatinous, net-like structure that gives our body shape. Connective tissue also changes thickness and function to provide appropriate support to different parts of the body. It is tendon, ligament, muscle sheath, organ sac, and skin, thus playing multiple roles. It is the information highway for all of our inner bio-chemical processes as well as the repair stations for injury and trauma.
